Holidays to Mauritius
Tailor-made trips to Mauritius — turquoise lagoons, white sand beaches and lush mountains, crafted by local experts on the island since 1999.
Everything you need to know before booking.
Discovered by the Portuguese in 1596 and later colonised by the French and the English, Mauritius gained independence in 1968 and became a Republic in 1992 — leaving a rich historical heritage behind. As a former British colony, English is our official language, while French is fluently spoken across the island, making interaction with locals effortless.Home to 1.3 million inhabitants, Mauritius is a peaceful blend of ethnic groups and religions — Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Christianity coexist to form the island's famous "rainbow population." The island offers 200 km of coastline — coral beaches, crystal-clear lagoons and white sand — while its lush interior reveals dramatic mountains, national parks and waterfalls.Mauritius enjoys two seasons. Winter (May to October) brings breezy weather, lower humidity and coastal temperatures of 22–28°C. Summer (November to April) is hot and humid, with temperatures of 27–35°C and warm crystal-clear lagoons — peaking during the festive season in late December.
